WELCOME to the LODGE
Sawatch Range
Monarch MOUNTAIN
The Sawatch Range is home to fifteen 14,000-foot peaks, including the tallest peak in the Rockies, Mt. Elbert. Explore nearby ghost towns once booming with mines, post offices and saloons. Climbing, hiking, summiting, backcountry trails, winding passes, 2 and 4 wheeling, on and off roading, fishing, rafting, exploring, ski & snowboarding, dog sledding, snowmobiling, this is where lifelong memories, new hobbies and thrill seeking are nurtured.

The lodge is located in an old hamlet called Garfield, where the South Arkansas river flows. Minutes from the Continental Divide Trail, Colorado Trail, Monarch Crest Trail, Boss Lake Trail, Fooses Creek and more of San Isabel National Forest. Three miles up Highway 50 gets you to Monarch Mountain Ski & Snowboard Resort where lift lines are rare and the snow is never man made.
